One summer day.
Last weekend we were up in Symington to check some work we've had done on the house and so that Susan could attend her Cocoa Black cookery class in Pebbles (a Christmas gift from Ross).
Saturday started quite bright so having dropped Susan off in Peebles I went for a wee circular walk making use of a section of the John Buchan Way. It started well but halfway round the skies opened and it poured down all afternoon. As I only had old waterproof trousers in the sac I was soaked by the time I got back to the car. Susan's course was excellent as were the 'goodies' she produced. She's already signed up for another course in December.
Sunday morning was dry but cloudy so we had a quick walk up Tinto before doing a bit of clearing in the house. The top was in the cloud so no views - a pity for the many folk making their way up as we descended.
Yesterday was a summers day in Cumbria with blue skies, little wind and warmth. I went for a mid-day walk in Borrowdale climbing over King's How and Brund Fell. We normally only do these low fells on poor weather days so it was good to do them in good weather and get some views. As always they were quiet.
In the evening we both went for a walk up our nearest hill Blake Fell. We hoped to get some good light and to see the sun set over the Solway - we weren't disappointed.
