Active weekend with mixed weather.
Susan finished work early on Friday and we went to Keswick to collect her mountain bike which was in for a service. It was a beautiful evening so we headed up Latrigg to make the most of it.
Saturday's weather was not as good as forecast. We headed east where the weather was supposed to be better to climb Bannerdale Crags and Blencathra. Clouds sat low on the tops but we stuck to plan and enjoyed the round despite poor visibility and rain.
It was mild, calm and bright when we got up this morning so we headed out on the bikes for Buttermere. The autumn colours were again fantastic and it was a joy to be out cycling. On reaching Buttermere a Cafe stop was a must and we both had a cream tea before remounting and heading home. Disappointingly the weather on the coast and changed and mist had rolled in from the sea.
