More good weather.
The weather has been good again in Cumbria this weekend. Naturally we've been out to make the most of it.
On Saturday we headed east to Glenridding aiming to climb Helvellyn via Striding Edge before going on to climb Seat Sandal, one of our 'Lakes 100' tops still to be ticked off. It was bright, breezy and cool all day and the visibility was superb. The hills which much quieter than anticipated which is always a bonus.

Today dawned bright and calm so we headed out on the bikes. We wanted to do a different route from home so followed Cycle Route 10 (The Reivers Way) east through Cockermouth and on to Uldale. Here we turned and headed home via the Castle Inn, Eaglesfield, Dean and Branthwaite. We covered about 47 miles and climbed over 3000'. An excellent ride.
Heading east beyond Cockermouth on Cycle Route 10.
A stunning late summer morning in Cumbria.
The route is generally well signposted.
Empty roads most of the way.
Susan as always enjoying her ride.
Heading back west towards the Castle Inn.
Almost home outside Branthwaite.
