A Border Raid.
As Susan had Thursday and Friday off work we headed up to Symington and had two very good days on the Border Hills.
Thursday was a warm and sunny day so we headed up Culter Fell via Shin Fell. It was very dry underfoot so we continued down over Moss Law to Holm Nick where we turned and headed back to the car via Coulter Reservoir. We saw no one else on the hill and thoroughly enjoyed our favourite 'local' hill.

Friday was another bright but windy day. We wanted a longer day out so headed for Talla Linnfoots to climb White Coomb. Our route took us first up Games Hope Glen and up Great Hill. From here we continued over Firthhope Rig to White Coomb. We were surprised to meet two other walkers on the final leg but overall the solitude was wonderful. The route back to the car over Lochcraig Head and Nickies Knowe was equally quiet and gave excellent views over this fantastic area of hill country.

We drove back to Cumbria on a wet Saturday and today went for a wee bike ride. It was wet when we left the house but it soon dried up. No camera but our route is shown below:
