Back in the Lakes.
We got back from Italy late on Tuesday evening (Blog to follow) to more wet and windy weather in Cumbria. Luckily our first chance to get onto the fells coincided with some better weather today. We headed to Stonethwaite in Borrowdale to climb two of the peaks on our '100 list' - Ullscarf and High Raise. The former is known for it's wet ground and didn't disappoint. It was also in the cloud when we arrived at the summit so the views were limited. High Raise was slightly drier underfoot and did give some good views. We saw very few people despite lots of cars being parked in the valley. Everything looked very green after two weeks walking in the Dolomites.
