Storms, Sciatica and signs of Spring.

Since we returned to Cumbria from Scotland two weeks ago the county has been hit by numerous storms but the main problem for us has been Susan's very painful Sciatica. She wanted to get out this weekend as exercise gives some relief but strong winds kept us on the lower fells.
There are signs of Spring about with lambs in the fields and Crocuses and Daffodils making an appearance.
Saturday was very overcast and windy so we headed to Keswick and did a loop along the cycle track towards Threlkeld and over Latrigg back into town. We then headed to Abrahams Cafe in Fishers for lunch - always a wee treat.

An unusual sight on the top of Latrigg.

An overcast day with limited views across Derwent Water.

Dropping down into Keswick for lunch.

Signs of Spring in Keswick.

We were keen to do another walk on Sunday so headed for Ling Fell and Sale Fell near Cockermouth. It was another windy day but there was much less cloud so the views were much better. The walk again eased Susan's pain so hopefully we'll get up a little higher next weekend.
