Stormy!!
It's been a stormy week in Cumbria with heavy rain and gale force winds. Saturday's fell forecast warned of 80 mph gusts so any thoughts of climbing high were dismissed. We settled for lowly Sale Fell between Cockermouth and Keswick and enjoyed a bright but 'breezy' wee round. This was followed by a wander down to Derwent Water from Keswick and then a warming bowl of Broth in Abraham's Cafe, Fishers.

Heading down with Skiddaw in the background.
A very 'full' Derwent Water after a week of heavy rain.
A moody Derwent Water and Borrowdale Valley.
The view across the lake to Causey Pike.
Flooding on the shore of Derwent Water - Cat Bells in the background.
The wind had not abated this morning so we settled on a walk down to and along the coast to see the waves crashing in.
Wrapped up against the cold wind.
