Back on the road.

It was pouring down when we got up this morning so we did a job we've been delaying for ages - painting the bedroom ceiling. After lunch the rain had stopped and a clearing sky encouraged us to take the road bikes out for the first time in weeks. We did our 'Paddle School' loop through Gilgarren, Ullock, Pardshaw, Brandlingill, Eaglesfield, Dean and Branthwaite. It was great to cycle the roads again and we hope to keep it up through the winter.

Approaching Gilgarren.

Dropping down to Ullock with a good view of the western fells.

With my Tricross bike in 'winter mode'.

On route to Pardshaw.

The road to Brandlingill.

The autumn leaves have fallen off most of the trees.

Susan enjoying being on the road again.
