Gentle weekend.
After last weeks exploits in the highlands we've had a quiet week and weekend at home. Saturday's forecast was for heavy rain, thunder and lightening. We got to Keswick before 10am and managed a walk up Latrigg and along the railway line cycle track before the rain started. This meant lunch in Abraham's Cafe in Fishers - superb.
Today we went for a short cycle (36.5 miles) from home out to Lorton and back. The sun shone and it was pleasantly warm despite a strong breeze. We could have gone further but Susan had a sore back and we didn't want to push it to far.
More open views of Skiddaw on the track up Latrigg after some recent 'felling'.
Always a good view what ever the weather.
Not quite the highlands but a good wee top.
The lambs are getting bigger.
The rain set in as we walked back to Keswick along the cycle track.

A superb day to ride the back roads from home.
Heading towards Lorton.
On the C2C route near Loweswater.
Heading west for home into the wind!!!
