Solway Sportive.

One of my 'to do's' for this year was to complete a cycle Sportive and I did this yesterday. I chose the Solway Sportive organised by Dumfries Cycling Club as I love the quiet roads of the area and there are no really big climbs. In addition we were able to fit in a visit to see Susan's mum on Saturday.
The route was 72 miles. We've done longer rides but never non-stop so I had no idea what time I could do. In the end I completed in 5 hours and 3 minutes with an average speed of  14.3 mph. I was very pleased but definitely prefer more leisurely rides and cafe stops!!!!!

No time for pictures during the Sportive but here's the completion certificate.
