A stormy end to 2013.
We drove up to Symington on Sunday 22 December for the Christmas and New Year holidays. I had a bad stomach bug for the first few days and throughout the stay the weather has been wild. Deep depressions have swept across the country bringing heavy rain and gales. We've contented ourselves with walks around the village on most days but have had two good hill walks and a great day out in Edinburgh.
A damp walk around the village.
Climbing Culter Fell on a bright but breezy Christmas Day.
A round on the Broughton Heights.
A day out in Edinburgh with a walk up Arthurs Seat.
A wander around the village on a drier afternoon.
