Wallowbarrow Crag
No climbing for 6 weeks as Jeff has had to recover from a hand op. but yesterday we got out with Pete. We went to Wallowbarrow Crag in the quiet Duddon Valley where we've climbed many times before. It was a slow journey due to picking Pete up in Wasdale and having a brew but this gave the sun time to appear.
We only did two routes as the descents proved tricky and hard on Jeff's injured leg and all our toes crammed into rock shoes. The routes were both classics of the crag:
Thomas (Severe) - climbed in two pitches of 39m and 18m.
Digitation (MVS 4b) - two pitches of 30m an 18m.
A pint in the Strands next door to Pete's rounded the day off nicely.

Below Walllowbarrow Crag after two very good routes.
