Skiddaw recovery walk.

Susan's leg is recovering well and she wanted to get out for a walk today. We chose something straight forward - Skiddaw from Keswick. It was overcast as we set off from the town but the forecast promised better. There was, however, little sign of this as we crossed Little Man and then reached Skiddaw's summit. We sat in the shelter out of the wind, put on an extra layer and  had a banana. As 'the leg' was fine we decided not to drop straight back down but instead went over Jenkin Hill to Lonscale Fell where we had lunch. During this last section the sky had cleared and we sat in sunshine which stayed with us for the rest of the day.
To get back to town we dropped down Burnt Horse towards Skiddaw House. On joining the Bridleway we turned south and followed it around Lonescale Fell towards Latrigg and down into Keswick. Here we rounded the day off nicely in Fishers Cafe. Pleasingly Susan's leg was fine and she was glad to be out after just a week.

A much better day - Lonscale Fell.
