Back in the saddle.

Having survived yesterday's 12.5mile wander on the fells Susan was keen to get back in the saddle today to test her leg out. It was a bright sunny morning so we decided to head for Buttermere but by a different route to last Sunday. We got there this time but not without incident. Between Pardshaw Hall and Mosser I cycled around a corner to be faced with a very large Bull blocking the whole road. There was no way round it so we turned as quickly as possible and rode away as fast as we could. We checked the map for an alternative route and enjoyed the remainder of the ride. It was hard work at times in a strong southerly wind but the fells looked great and we had a good cafe stop in the village.
Susan's leg was fine after 43 miles - so she's made a great recovery.

On route to Buttermere near Lanthwaite Green.

Getting ready to head for home.

Passing Crummock Water - autumn colours are beginning to appear.

Outside Loweswater and back in the saddle.
