Blencathra.

I got out today for a quick round on Blencathra - unfortunately Susan had to work. The snow of Sunday hadn't quite gone and there were some good views despite the overcast sky. I parked in Threlkeld and climbed Doddick Fell to reach the summit. Microspikes were required to make safe progress once the snowline was reached. The hill was deserted and this made the traverse of the summit ridge to Blease Fell even more enjoyable. There were some great cornice formations and it's a pity that the forecast is for milder weather which is likely to strip away winter for a while.
