Taking it easy.

My last few 'outings' felt harder than normal so I went to see the doctor last monday. I've been diagnosed as having a pulmonary embolism  and put on anticoagulant drugs for life. Until the clots in my lungs have broken up only light exercise is allowed so today we headed for a walk around Buttermere lake. It was overcast for much of the round, with cloud covering the higher tops, and a northerly breeze kept temperatures down.
My breathing felt fine so hopefully it won't be long until we're back on the fells and the bikes. There are signs that summer is on it's way and with the days lengthening there are lots of things we want to do this year.

Looking across the lake to Fleetwith Pike.
