City Day / Hill Day

The last few days have been mild and dreich and a steady thaw has stripped away most of the snow. Yesterday we had a 'city day' in Edinburgh and today we did the Drumelzier Horseshoe over Pykestone Hill (737m), Long Grain Knowe (704m), Glenstivon Dod (688m) and Drumelzier Law (668m). It was overcast for the whole round but we did get some great views as the clouds occasionaly parted. The most spectacular were those across the Central Belt to the still very white highlands. We saw no other walkers on this excellent round.
