A quick fix.
The first snow of the winter fell in the Lakes this week and gave quite a covering as can be seen in the photo below taken on Wednesday looking to Scafell Pike from Langdale.

Susan's car exhaust went on her way home yesterday so we had an early start today to get it into the garage before heading out for a quick trip up Blencathra. We parked below Mousthwaite Comb then climbed up the comb before dropping down to Glenderamackin Beck. We then followed the beck up to the col between Blencathra and Bannerdale Crags from where we climbed up on to Foule Crag and on to the summit of Saddleback. There were a few wintery showers but also some good clear spells which became more prolonged as we descended Scales Fell back to the car. A short outing but good after two weeks off the fells.
