Evening ramble.
It's been another fine day in Cumbria so we couldn't resist a quick ramble after work to try out our new approach shoes. We headed for the lovely Sale Fell which gave great views to Skiddaw, Helvellyn and the Dumfries and Galloway Hills across the Solway Firth.
I forgot my camera but took a few pictures with my new phone which turned out quite well. The phone also includes GPS OS mapping so will be a real aid to navigation, especially on the Scottish mountains in poor visibility.
The view to Skiddaw and Helvellyn beyond.
New shoes on the summit - how long will they stay this clean?
