Tinto Snowshoe

For the last week we've been up in the Border hills but have been unable to get out because of heavy snow. This afternoon we managed to get to Symington's local hill Tinto and just squeezed into the snowed up car park. The hill had a good cover of snow so we decided to snowshoe up. We didn't quite float over the soft snow but it was good fun and a different way to climb this familiar fell. There were a few other folk out and about including some skiers and snowboarders. The summit was cloud covered but we did get some good views on the lower slopes.
