Newlands Round.

We headed into the Lakes early today with no particular plan as the forecast was for low cloud. As we approached Keswick the hills forming the Newlands horseshoe looked cloud free and as we hadn't done the round for a while this became our route for the day. We parked just below Little Town in the Newlands valley and headed off to do the round anticlockwise over Robinson, Hindscarth, Dale Head, High Spy and Maiden Moor.
There was very little wind all day and although it remained cloudy the views were better than expected. It was also quiet on the tops and it wasn't until the final two hills that we met many people. As we dropped off back to the car there was some light rain but not enough to warrant getting the waterproofs out or to spoil a grand day on the fells.
